Canon 580EX Mark II Speedlite - Description:
The 580EX II is a premier Speedlite for all photographers, including professionals. 580EX II Speedlite designed to match with the EOS-1D Mark III, in terms of improved dust and water-resistance, body strength, ability to control flash functions, and settings from the camera menu (EOS-1D Mark III only). Other features of the 580EX II Speedlite include improved communication reliability through its direct contacts, and recycling time is both 20% shorter than the 580EX and is completely inaudible. The Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash contains a more features found in the old model Canon Speedlite 550EX E-TTL Flash in a smaller, lighter and more modern designed housing.
I bought this canon flash for my Canon EOS 1D digital camera which performs great, in program mode you do need to control the flash everything it takes care of. In the manual mode you can set any shutter speed you want in the camera and also you can alter the amount of light.
I also bought the canon CP-E3 battery pack which makes it for more professional use and the recycling time reduced to half and you will not lose any shot of important events.
The canon 580ex is TTL with my canon digital 1D and also with canon eos 1V the 35mm film that I had it long time ago. |
