Prettaay damn awesome July 23, 2008 As an avid viewer of the first few series and a recent fan of seinfeld this in depth look at the history of larry david and the opinions his colleagues have of him is intriguing. With examples of the base set for each seen and snipets from each episode the book is as unique as the series.
With few books i've read have i found so many laugh out loud moments. This i s a must have for all curb fans! As is the soundtrack!
Fantastic September 12, 2007 This book is nearly as good as the show itself, I finished it in a couple of hours and could not put it down. Buy it!

As the companion to what surely must be a contender for sitcom of the decade this book really delivers! Detailing the story arc, trivia and highlights of every episode of the series so far, the book is interspersed with interviews with those who know Larry best as well as all the key figures behind Curb. The book also displays just how key improvisation is in the creation of Curb by showing an example from each season of the scene outline that the actors are presented with alongside a transcription of the dialogue the actors employ in the final cut. Curb Your Enthusiam the book provides a rare insight into the world of Larry David, his methods of working, and the sources of his inspiration.

I'm a huge fan of Larry David and Curb Your Enthusiasm, it wasn't until last Summer that I decided to purchase Season 1 on DVD, since then I was hooked.
I decided to check out this book, I must say, it's totally, utterly awesome. It's cramp packed with super info, episode guides, cast and crew interviews, exclusive images and maps of Santa Monica and the set locations, scripts and all!
If you enjoy the show, pick up this booked. Larry David really has some hilarious stories to tell. This is one purchase I am real proud of!
I Know My Sources December 30, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
A friend gave me this book for Christmas knowing my love for the series, I was hesitant usually these books are just all the scripts printed out and are boring to read. This is very much not that book. Mind you as comes across when reading this it's because there is no script.
It does act as an episode guide but with just a very brief synopsis it instead lists some trivia and ancedotes about each episode. The real meat of the book lies in the interviews Larry David excels here really giving a huge insight into how Curb came about the casting process and the improvising. Liked the different ideas for the title of the show Indeed this book shows exactly what is written on the "script" and then shows what actually got said this shows just how improvised the whole show is. The interview with Cheryl imeediately preceeds an interview with larry david's real wife.
If you love the series and are frustrated about the alck of really good extras on the DVDs then this is definately a book for you if you are the sort of person who watches the programme but has no desire to know how it is put together and how he dreams up his ideas then it's not for you.
Reading this book it's easy to see how people confuse the character with the man maybe more so that any other show I can think of
Wonderful that such a funny intelligent TV programme should produce such a funny intelligent book.
