 Fantastic Film - A great watch with the girls June 12, 2008
I have now seen this film 4 times with my Mom and Sister and we LOVE it.
The acting is fab, the actresses play such a believable family. The weddings are stunning and its just fab - I don't know what more I can say.
A girly film but saying that my brother and hubby really enjoyed it too.
Watch it if you are getting married cause such dreamey weddings.

This truly was one of the worst films I have ever seen. Mandy Moore is potentially the worst actress in the world, but is given a reprieve by the considerably worse actress; Diane Keaton - whose hammy and overdramatic performance was cringeworthy throughout.
The film has Piper Perabo on the cover but perhaps her 4 lines did not justify this. Piper is a talented actress who was woefully underused.
I am genuinely a fan of this genre - but this is the least likeable film I have ever seen. Honestly. Truly. Horrible.

Hmmm, after watching this with my daughter, now 13, she was 12 when her and a friend saw this at the cinema, I have to say that this film is inappropriately classified as 12.
Although I enjoyed the film, I found the talk about female orgasms, and what it feels like, very uncomfortable, knowing that my daughter was watching and listening avidly. As I said, she was 12 when she saw this at the cinema, and probably I was at fault for letting her go, but NEVER did I expect the talk about sexual antics to be shown to minors. Girls as young as 12 do not need to know what an orgasm is...
Another bit that was cringeworthy was with Diane Keeton having sex with her fiance with her legs in the air, dressed in her wedding dress.
Too much sex education for young family viewing.

I really like Diane Keaton but why she decided to star opposite Mandy Moore, god only knows!!! Moore is by far one of the worst actresses from the beginning of time. This was compensated with lots of flapping hands and over the top emotional outbursts.
I expected it to be a silly rom-com but this was just painful to watch and embarassing for everyone involved in this horrible film.

I think it has to be the worst film I have ever seen. It was truly awful. Bad script, extreme overacting especially from Diane Keaton. There is a desperation in all the characters acting as I'm sure they were wondering if they would have a career after this film came out. the worse thing about it was the unbelievable detailed conversations about sex between mother and daughters... total rubbish. watched it with one of those expressions on my face that you do when you've just stood in some dog dirt!
