4 out of 5 stars More consistently funny than series 4 and 5   June 3, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I'm a big fan of the show, but series 4 and 5 were really quite disappointing. Series 6 is much more consistent - each episode contains several genuinely funny gags, plenty of crude humour and even a little quality satire. Still not as well observed as the first three series but a decent return to form.

5 out of 5 stars How the Series Work On the DVDs   April 22, 2008

In the UK it works like this;

Season One DVD - contains the whole of Series One

Season Two DVD - contains the whole of Series Two

Season Three DVD - contains the whole of Series Three

Season Four DVD - contains the first 13 episodes of Series Four

Season Five DVD - contains the rest of Series Four (about 14/15 episodes)

Season Six DVD - contains the first 13/14 episodes of Series Five

Personally i think that this format is ridiculous because by the time they get to the Season 10 DVD it will actually only be the first half of Series 7!!!

5 out of 5 stars The best season ever!   April 4, 2008

Once again those clever blokes at Fox TV have outdone themselves, this time bringing us the best series ever of Family Guy! Everything you love about the show is here from the random gags, the obscure references to 1980s American celebrities you've never heard of, the random gags, the gay baby, the random gags, the obscure references to 1980s culture, the gay baby probably shows up again as well.

It's well funny, me and my mates all watch it with a kebab after going out clubbing and it's great hangover/run out of charlie viewing!

5 out of 5 stars One Star My Ass!   February 23, 2008
Do not listen to the reviews saying that Family Guy is slipping. This season is the strongest yet with brilliant storylines and sharp gags.

I'll admit, havin only 13 episodes is a bit annoying but the material within more than makes up for it. Peter continues to amaze with his stupidity and this season continues to push the boundaries.

Of course there are 1 or two episodes that didn't make me laugh out loud as much as they should but overall it is a very funny season (with particular attention to Chick Cancer, Road to Rupert and the brilliant Tan Aquatic With Steve Zissou)

Some say the show has changed from the earlier seasons and it has, its become funnier.

With great episodes and loads of bonus features this is money well spent

5 out of 5 stars ******* Hilarious   February 8, 2008
Although not all the episodes are included in this box set, all the ones that are included are worth the money and the time: i cried with laughter sometimes, as Quagmire is a pilot, Stewie has a crush, Brian dates a stupid blonde, Peter....well he is just Peter, Meg is ignored and hated, Chris is still pretty clueless, and Lois tries to sort everyone, whilst staying sane at the same time. The extras are just as funny also, and all 13 episodes you can never get bored of. i laughed more and more, never getting bored. this is a great present to give someone, or to buy for yourself. So even if you cannot stand Family Guy, it is a great gift to give to someone else who likes it maybe more than you do!!!!!!!!
