5 out of 5 stars Its back, as good as ever!   April 21, 2008

I am a huge fan of all comedy programmes and i have to say this is definately up there with my favourites, ok its not exactly very mature (though it does raise interesting issues, honest) I have always loved it, and was abit worried as to how this would work with johnny.. So i was a little put off to watch it. Then i saw they were doing it live! Which appealed to me so i switched on, and it was magnifecent! They pulled off some pretty damn good stuff!
So i continued watching the whole series and i loved it as mush as the other series, Gaz and Janet actualy make a great couple, and the new character isnt too bad.
Dont let the fact that johnny isnt in it put you off, give this a try and see what you think, because i think its great and so should everybody else :D

5 out of 5 stars Little has gone from series seven.   March 31, 2008

I had thought that Two Pints was reaching the end of it's natural life and was concerned that with one of the cast members gone the series would be a pale version of what it had once been. I watched the start of series 7 because even at it's worst Two Pints has been the best comedy series to have been on tv for years. By the end of episode one we knew that Ralf Little was gone but everything else was still in place and that any series that boasts a cast like Natalie Casey,Sheridan Smith,Kathryn Drysdale and the excellent Will Mellor was going to be just fine. Mellor and Smith both seemed to up their game in this series, and by the end of each episode I was wanting to know what happened next to the point where I was going on line to find out. Two Pints makes me laugh out loud even when I have watched the episode so often I am word perfect on the script. Ralf Little's exit hasn't spelled the end of the show, Jonny jumping the Shark has prevented Two Pints as a whole from doing the same. Long Live Dead Jonny, and roll on series 8.

4 out of 5 stars Series 7 Two Pints Review !!!   March 23, 2008

READ THIS REVEIW NOT THE OTHER ONE!!!!

Ive followed 2 pints of larger and a packet of crips from the very begining episode and from that tiny little acorn this comedy oak tree has grown, i thought series 1 to 6 were absoloutely halariouse and although ralf little's character jonny keogh has been written out, the rest of the cast pulled off series 7. Ive recently read a reveiw which claims that the series has not lived up to expectations, i completely disagree with the reviewer, 2 pints is a barrel of laughs and if you didnt enjoy tuning in to this series you are completely lacking a sense of humor, i hope that there is an 8th series made, as this one had me rolling on the floor in laughter. thanks for reading my reveiw.

3 out of 5 stars Jumping the shark   March 18, 2008

Well... I'm a big fan of Two Pints but series 7 was a huge disappointment. Losing one of the main characters didn't help, but the main plotlines - the affair, who's the father, etc are just repeating those of earlier series. Jumping the shark - the storyline from episode one - is an apt description of this new series. If you don't know what that phrase means, google it... It's almost as if the writer admits that the series isn't going to work.

I would have rated this 2.5 stars if that were possible, but rounded up due to the success of the live episode which is easily the best of the series. It's just a shame the "Dead Jonny" stuff dragged on - and on - throughout the remainder of the series. Another two pints? Just call time!
