I bought this DVD because it is great value for money and because I liked the multidisciplinary approach of combining balanceball, Pilates and yoga. But the catch is the line in the product description: "This combination of programmes allows you to choose your own difficulty level."

In the yoga section, Rodney Yee says his routine is ideal as an introduction to yoga or as a warm-up to a more advanced yoga session. The balanceball section is best suited to an intermediate exerciser, although Suzanne Deason's instructions are so clear that a beginner could master it with some practice. But the Pilates section, as another reviewer mentioned, is brutal! Since trying it, I have read reviews by people far more experienced than me. One advanced Pilates practitioner said it was the most difficult routine she had ever tried, while another thought anyone below the advanced level shouldn't attempt it as they may injure themselves. I enjoy the balanceball routine and will keep doing it, along with my other Pilates/balanceball workouts and keep Ana Caban's Pilates routine as a benchmark. When I can master that, I'll know I'm at the advanced level!

Each routine is fine on its own, but it was an odd decision to combine them on one disk.

This DVD is excellent, really works the abs. it is not for the faint hearted, you need to be serious about your abs to complete these exercises, especially ana caban's pilates section, it is very difficult, especially the balance part which is what pilates is all about, you do get better at the exercises though if you keep at it. this is far better value than Pilates abs workout 2005 with ana caban because within this dvd you get her workout which is exactly the same as on the pilates abs workout, for the same price and with 2 other workouts as well. I RECOMMEND THIS ONE.

This DVD offers great value for money and effort!

You get three complete workouts. The workouts are about 20 - 35 minutes long each. They certainly home in on the abs. Anna caban, the Pilates instructor went back to orignal documentation of Joseph Pilates doing ab work. She has incorporated some of the more crazy looking as she thought they were fun and taxing. Try doing the 'teaser' and then adding a climbing rope movement up and down to it. i must admit that I just laughed trying to complete this. It was hard but it is always great to have something to aim for. i guess if I could do it all now there would be no need to have this DVD.

buy with confidence. It is not a magic pill to flat abs. you have to eat a healthy diet, get some cardio, do complete toning routines and then throw this in the mix about 3 times a week. Do this kind of routine and you will have abs and poise that that fill you with confidence and also a key to a very healthy exercise regime.
