Product Description If you?re looking for a camcorder that makes taking and sharing your videos and pictures easy, then look no further than Sony?s DCR-DVD110! When you first start using the DCR-DVD110, you?ll see that filming directly onto DVD is a piece of cake, and you?ll be pleasantly surprised with results. Equipped with an 800,000-megapixel HAD CCD sensor and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, the DCR-DVD110 gives you everything you need to take realistic photos filled with colour. Its Super Steady Shot image stabiliser ensures your creations turn out perfectly each and every time because it compensates for camera shake, enabling you to concentrate on work in progress. When it comes to sound, the DCR-DVD110 has a microphone, which is great for Home Cinema systems, and a 40x optical zoom so you can capture sound more efficiently. It?s also as light as a feather and comfortable to handle and use, thanks to the handy features on the LCD touch screen. You can take perfect photos on the spur of the moment with this camcorder!

Small & Perfectly Formed June 26, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Was looking for a relatively inexpensive and easy to use product for use on holiday etc. So plumped for the Sony Handycam. It does what is syas - extremely easy to use and pick up, first class recoding quality (although can be noisy - shot a small clip on a nice spring day in Inverness with a slight breeze and watching playback on TV it sounds like it was blowing a gale!!). My only criticism would be with the software supplied and instruction manual. I am not illiterate when it comes to computers but 3 months down the line, I still cannot get the Handycam to link to my pc and I have no idea how on earth one goes about editing footage with the software provided.

I cannot play back my movies on my Apple iMac, nor can I register the product. Sony confirm that the camera is not configured for Apple only Windows. I was not informed of this when I purchased the camera from Amazon just one month ago so I have a product I cannot use.

I purchased this camera for my Mother to capture her grand-daughter, who is always on the go and never in the same place long enough for a still photo. I was very surprised as to how small and light this camera is, even with the battery. It's surprisingly easy to set up and use and the touch-screen on the flip-out viewfinder was a surprising bonus!
I've always been a fan of Sony products and this is no different. It's small, lightweight and easy to use. Perfect for anyone, of any age, to use. Although if you have large fingers, you may find the touch-screen capability is limited as the buttons are very small.
Overall, this camera is excellent value for money and I am confident that it will withstand the test of time.

This was my first camcorder, and I wanted something that would be easy to use. This fits the bill. Easy operating instructions. Charged the battery and it was ready to go. Good results both indoors and outdoors. The only thing I would coment on is that it does not come with any form of recording media so you will need to purchase some 8cm DVD's and a memeory stick (for the still photos). The other slight issue is with the software supplied for managing the recordings, its very slow to run. All in all i am pleased with the results I have got so far.
