2 out of 5 stars BE WARNED!!   July 21, 2008
Like a lot of people I have fallen for the hype about DAB Radio.....I have a Roberts for the home and the sound is great. So I thought I would purchase one of these as I do a lot of walking for my work (postman).
BE WARNED.......If you do not live in an erea with a good reception you may as well sing to yourself as they just do not pick up the signals and when you do manage to get an acceptable station, if you move around it comes on and off....Very frustratinggggggg

3 out of 5 stars Not the best thing since sliced bread   May 17, 2008

I got this as an xmas present off the wife and was hoping for so much. First build quality. The unit itself is made of metal but the buttons are made of cheap, tacky plastic. Surely it would not have added to the cost too much too use metal buttons too. Reception ain't that great either, you cam nudge it half an inch and the reception just goes. Not sure what they mean by personal but I would no recommend it as for music on the move. I use it to listen to foot ball while away from home and it sometimes cant even find radio 5. If Dab is the future, then lets stay in the present

1 out of 5 stars If only it was reliable! and Pure so very POOR.   May 6, 2008

Yes it looks great, and it worked fairly well for a while, although recpetion is far from perfect, then.....
The LP37 chargepack failed(only 3 months old). OK said pure, we will send you another. They lied, and never did. Asked again. They said one would be sent as soon as one was in stock. A month later, no battery. This was despite having stock you could buy. Obviously they fail a LOT!

Do not trust the battery technology, its poor. As is the rubbish service you get from Pure. Its a case of got your money, now s*d off.
Worst most uncaring customer support ever. They refuse to answer emails or letters.
There are other DAB radios with more relaible technology, get one of them.

1 out of 5 stars DREADFUL!   April 28, 2008

So disappointing - Reception virtually non-existent. Even those stations that could be found (Radios 1 - 4 and 2 or 3 others) broke up instantly upon movement (the earphone cable acts as the antenna).

We have Roberts DAB which received perfectly, so do not believe our location (North Dorset) is the issue.

This is a very different tale to many other reviews here.

I READ THE REVIEW OF SOMEBODY FROM EDINBURGH WHO GAVE IT A BAD REVIEW SAYING THERE WAS NO SIGNAL. I AM LISTENING TO IT JUST NOW. THE SOUND IS VERY CLEAR, THE SIGNAL IS STRONG AND I AM LISTENING IN EDINBURGH. IT IS A LIGHT SMALL RADIO AND FOR ME JUST RIGHT.
