 Cases For Panasonic Digital Cameras July 18, 2008
It is amazing that Panasonic can manufacture such magnificent digital cameras yet not produce a fitting case or cover for the product. I have recently returned a case I thought would be useful for my camera, it turned out to be totally useless.
I have a DMC TZ3, a wonderful camera, & I would love to have a suitable case to protect it.
Presently, I use a SAMSUNG !! case which does the job perfectly.
COME ON PANASONIC, GET YOUR FINGER OUT !!!!

This is a nice, good quality case and fits my TZ3 well width and depth ways but is significantly too long length ways which defeats the object of having a compact camera case in my opinion. Much of the 'gap' at the top of the case that you can see on the pictures is unoccupied by the camera making it liable to slide around as well as being a waste of space. It also provides a large hole to let in dust and water. I have returned my case.

Yes,this case DOES look very smart, its stylish black leather complementing the black camera body. However, it does NOT do the basic job of protecting the camera well enough. The camera is quite loose in the bag, there is no padding worth the name, and there are large gaps through which dust, rain or debris can reach the precious camera. If you are off to a party or snapping shots in town you'll probably be happy with this, anywhere more demanding and you will want something more protective.

Looks good, feels good and fits well. Nicely made but not too happy withg the design. I am off shortly for a 3 week holiday so have been wearing the case with camera on my belt using the belt-clip. The circular attachment that screws into the case has come unscrewed twice as it is very hard to tighten sufficiently onto the case. The first time this happened the magnetic clip failed to hold and the camera was slightly damaged. Not happy. Also, the soft leather around the fixing hole has already stretched considerably so I am wondering how long it will last.
My other critisism is that there is no room to hold a spare battery other than loose in the bottom under the camera thus risking its loss when the camera is in use.

My TZ3 fits the case nicely and it is just what I needed. It provides adequate protection without being too bulky.
