 So small, so cheap but great picture July 14, 2008

I have been very pleasantly surpised by the quality of the output of the Flip Ultra. It is so small and light that I almost expected something akin to the video output on a mobile phone. First impressions were that it was very simple to use and that it looks great. It wasn't until I hooked it up to my 32" TV that I was really impresses - even on a fairly big screen the image quality is impressive, as is the sound. I would heartily recommend.

I have just returned from a two week road trip in the USA and used my flip to share moments with friends on Facebook. I used it with my MacBook Air and they played well together. The whole product is just amazing to use and I think the video and sound quality is stunning for such a simple product.
A must have product for Video Blogging or just having fun.

I BOUGHT A FLIP ULTRA CAMCORDER AFTER SEEING AND HEARING ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET AND WAS THRILLED TO FIND OUT ITS EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS WHAT THE REVIEWERS HAVE BEEN SAYING. THE FLIP CAMCORDER HAS BEEN AN ENORMOUS HIT IN THE STATES AND NOW WE HAVE IT HEAR IN THE UK.
IT IS A SMALL WELL MADE DEVICE
WITH THE SIMPLEST OF CONTROLS ANYONE CAN USE IT .
IT RUNS OFF 2 ORDINARY AA BATTERIES WHICH IS A MAJOR PLUS FOR EVERYONE BECAUSE IT MEANS YOU WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT POWER WHEN YOU NEED IT . BATTERY LIFE IS BETWEEN 2-6 HOURS DEPENDING ON TYPE OF BATTERIES USED.
YOU CAN ALSO USE RECHARGEABLE AA BATTERIES.
THE FLIPS 2GB BUILT IN MEMORY IS ENOUGH TO RECORD FOR 1 HOUR SO YOUR UNLIKELY TO RUN OUT OF RECORDING SPACE AND IF YOU DO JUST CONNECT IT TO A PC OR MAC AND UPLOAD YOU RECORDINGS TO CLEAR THE FLIPS MEMORY AND START AGAIN . (SIMPLE)

I am quite keen to buy this product as long as it is a 60 minute camcorder. In the further technical details section sub-heading What's in the box it is described as a 30 minute camcorder. Despite spending an inordinate amount of time going rund in circles I have been unable to find a way to ask Amazon about the apparent conflict. I value my relationship with Amazon and I am sure that once they are aware of the problem it will be quickly resolved.

This is a great little gadget if you're like me and can't bothered to read the manual. It is as simple as point and press record, plug it straight into the tv or computer and there you go. I was up and playing with the Flip within 2 minutes of opening the box. The viewing screen is a little small but not detrimentally so and the quality is good enough for home video purposes.
