Two pictures in one June 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one of these from Memory World as there were none available from Amazon. I tested it carefully, having read reviews, and was pleased that it worked with no problems. I rejoiced too soon. On the third time I used it, on holiday in Switzerland, after having completely cleared all files twice before, I found photos that were a combination. Imagine a Swiss mountain and valley with an industrial town clustered in among the streams. Striking image but not what I wanted!
I have now contacted Memory World and am awaiting a reply from them. If I do not get a refund then I will contact Trading Standards. My recommendation is that it is not worth buying electronic products from marketplace sellers. Unless you have lots of money to throw away, do without or wait for awhile rather than buying something that is risky.
Digiplay sell fake sony memory cards June 18, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought card as part of wedding prezzie with cybershot camera. Groom took card to sony shop as couldn't get it to work. Shop confirmed memory stick as a fake. Fraud is disappointing, it's bad business and a criminal offence. Seems like a lot of fakes going by feedback. Sure they'll be flogged again soon under some other name so buyers and Amazon will be none the wiser.
Does what it says on the tin June 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great - gives me what I wanted i.e. 4gb of space, and works fine. Bought from 1memoryshop. - They did what they advertised too. Cheap and arrived quickly. Brilliant
It was FAKE - it could'nt even store 1GB May 29, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
THIS WOULD GET ZERO STARS IF I COULD GIVE IT THAT ! I bought it & thought excellent what a bargain only to try and store something on it and i couldn't put the pictures on there. I then tried some documents couldn't store it on it. It was then I knew it was fake and had been ripped off. My advice - i've learnt my lesson from this and i now know that when buying memory sticks buy from your local Curry's/Argos or Sony shop then you can take it back the next day telling them that you'll sue them under the 1979 Sales of Good Act if they either don't give you a proper 4GB memory stick or give you your money back. You'll have to pay more though eg. Argos = 59.99 but its worth the extra expense having the option to take it back the next day if it is not the correct size.
