For the price, perfect April 25, 2008 Have these in my bedroom as substitute speakers for my 22" LG flat screen since the telly suffers from a bad case of great picture but rubbish sound. The difference is remarkable. In the absence of a full surround system in my room (which no man over 25 in a relationship could ever get away with) the sound is spot on. Bass is rich, sound is detailed and the design of the speakers discrete. They also have a second input to stick the mp3 player in to as well. Money well spent. Only the lack of a remote option stops me from giving them five stars. Sound alone? 5.

I tried out 3 sets of speakers the Creative GigaWorks T40, Logitech Z-2300 and these Sony's. I was expecting these to be the weakest of the bunch as they were half the price of the rest but how wrong was I. Out of the 3 these won for me on sound quality being the best balanced and cleanest sound of the 3 and at half the price! What a bargain these speakers are and are highly recommended.
Excellent Sound Quality and Value! March 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These speakers really look the part and (fortunately) they sound the part too! There's not really much else I can say about them; I highly recommend them they are well worth the money. I have surround sound speakers that cost four times as much and don't sound (or look) as good. My only complaint is that they were out of stock when I ordered and it took me nearly three months to get them, but it was well worth the wait!
Good - as long as they work! January 7, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having had these speakers for a few months I was impresssed with the excellent sound quality that they produced. Brilliant for playing music out of my Pc for iTunes etc..
However.. A few months in and the right speaker socket appears to have failed on me. I've fiddled with it continuously but its no good, the right speaker now no longer works and I'm left with rather poor and unnacceptable mono sound. What a shame. If only Sony had got its build quality right I would be able to share a positive review with some of the others on here.
As it stands I will be investing in a 2.1 system with a much better reliability record than this product, which is now only suitable for the scrap yard.
Excellent Speakers January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to own some Logitech pc speaker which did a good job however I found the bass far too over powering even on the lowest setting. These Sony speakers really do sound fantastic, look great and the bass can be fully controlled!. I've used them for pc games, watching films and listening to muisc without any problems. So if you're looking for some great sounding speakers that look the part and that don't break the bank look no further. My only slight niggle with the Sony speakers is that the wired "remote pod thingy" is hard wired to the subwoofer.
