This small Le Teapot is ideal for brewing fresh tealeaves or fruit infusions. Made from toughened glass, it features a stainless steel handle and internal basket for holding the leaves. Once brewing has finished, simply push the handle down to trap the leaves and pour directly into a cup or mug.

Tea to taste without the leaves December 3, 2007

I've had this teapot (and the black one also listed) for some time and find they allow one to produce cups of tea exactly to taste. You can see the degree of infusion through the glass and remove the basket of leaves at that point. I find the Cafetiere teapots have infusion baskets with a finer mesh than some other similar makes. The latter allow some broken bits of tea leaf to escape and continue to infuse after the basket is removed, which, for those of us who like our tea very weak is a disadavantage.
