For outstanding durability and even heat distribution with no 'hot spots' the pan is made from heavy gauge, Hard Anodized aluminium (twice as strong as steel). It has slip-free, safety grip handles that stay cool on the stovetop; and for added strength the handles are riveted to the pan. The lid is made from 18/10 stainless steel and is close fitting to seal in flavour and nutrients.The pan has a non-stick, easy clean interior and exterior. I am an avid cook and Meyer's Circulon and Circulon 2 range are without a doubt the best cookware that I have ever used.Nothing sticks to them and they are therefore _extremely_ easy to clean. Heat dispersion is excellent. Materials are top-notch and the look-and-feel is terrific. The handle is made out of 'special' rubber-like material that is safe to touch even after intense cooking (no more burns). I initially bought a small 14cm frying pan a number of years ago to test the product out and I was so impressed that I have since purchased ten other Circulon products. This is a really good investment for cookware that will last a very long time. 5/5 All-round excellent product.
