 Simply the best CAST IRON roasting dish - 30 cm version February 14, 2007

The Le Creuset rectangular dish, approx. size 30 cm x 21 cm x 5 cm,
can be used for roasting/baking and grilling.... plus..... it can be used on the hob!
Use with the specifically designed, and reasonably priced `Le Creuset Roasting Rack', which holds the meat away from the base of the dish and keeps the fat separate for making that superb gravy, on the hob, later on!
No need to use another pan or dish!
Or,
for a completely different idea, try the recipe on page 87 of `The Cast Iron Way to Cook', by Sue Cutts, one of Le Creuset's consultants:-
`Honey Cake'.
This dish allows the making of approx. 16 slices of this superb cake!
Which just goes to show how versatile these dishes can be!
Elegant enough to take to the dinner table, and sure to be the focus of attention!
