I was very excited when I saw the effort BBC Enterprises had put into merchandising for the new Doctor Who series. I purchased one of these mugs and really enjoyed the different sounds, great design and robust feel of the product. Imagine my disappointment, when after a dozen or so uses the insert containing the sound chip dropped out leaving just a mug! There was dried glue on the chip casing which had obviously failed. When I contacted the manufacturers I was told that "they always come apart after a few uses"!!!
A real kick in the teeth.
