Excellent April 10, 2008 I really love it! The most important for me that it evacuates fat when cooking chicken or minced meat. And I wash it in my washing-machine - no problems at all!!!
Brilliant!!! April 7, 2008 I love this thing... I can come home from the gym, throw in the veggies, meat and potato, get in the shower. By the time I'm done, its done. Minimum cleaning.... Plus..I am eating veggies now I would never have eaten before. Just throw them all in. Easier than making a sandwich. Totally brilliant xxx
Top Product February 19, 2008 I bought this steamer based solely on the positive customer reviews that it has and I have to say that it is a fabulous steamer. Veg has never tasted so good and this steamer is both efficient and easy to clean and great stacking order for compact and easy storage. It is well designed and I think the price is an absolute bargain considering the amount of elecricity it is saving me.
Not the best, but good value for money February 3, 2008 This is the second steamer that I have had and it is very sturdy, I also like the fact that it has a separator for doing multiple veg in the same tray. My criticism would be however, that it does not stack quite as neatly as the Tefal models that I have owned and seen previously and the lid handle is not flat so you are not able to rest the trays onto the lid (to collect the water that drains from the trays) whilst dishing up the food. Both minor points, but have made life slightly more difficult for me than the previous Tefal model I had before.
It's made itself indispensible November 21, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love this steamer. It's been used every day since it arrived and I now wonder how I ever got along in the kitchen without it.
In case anyone is wondering whether this unit comes with a rice bowl (like the other Russell Hobbs model available from Amazon) I can confirm that it does. It works great, too, so no more black-bottomed saucepans and barbecue flavoured rice for me, thank you very much!
I endorse everything that other reviewers have said about how good steamed vegetables taste and about the ease of use of the steamer itself. I decided on this model partly because of my admiration for another Russell Hobbs product that I own (a slow cooker) and I'm happy to report that this unit is equally well designed.
The Russell Hobbs 3501 Steamer has quickly made itself indispensible in my kitchen and I recommend it unreservedly.
