The Real soundtrack and a great album August 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Was looking for a particular song from an episode, the one after Carrie has broken up with Aidan for the second time and she and the girls are walking through China Town with fans, I found it on this album (Zeb - Brazilenco (Season 4 / Episode #16)) and it is worth it for that alone. This album (and the daylight sessions) have the REAL music of the show, the ones that stood out, the ones you didn't even know were there and then come to Love. I use the album when I have dinner parties or a chilled night in, or just a reminder of one of the best series ever created.
The REAL "Sex and the City" Soundtrack! April 14, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
You've seen the show - you've seen that great scene every episode with the four sexy ladies chilling at the most fabulous of New York Clubs and Bars. You've also heard the super stylish and sexy music in the background of the numerous scenes like this. Those are the stylish soundas you'll find on this double CD from eternally trendy Italian-based label Irma. This album has actually taken a long time to arrive - fans of the show have been screaming out for a TRUE soundtrack of the series for years now. And while some of the tracks here may be a little too experimental for some listeners, overall the package delivers in a big way. This half of the two-part set focuses on the "Nightlife" aspect of the shows soundtrack. Music here will most likely be from scenes in which the girls are out on the town. This is more Deep House orientated than the other set ("Daylight Sessions").With some truly stunning Jazz-fused House this double CD is effortlessley cool and whispers New York City in the sexiest of tones. If you've ever watched "Sex and the City" and found yourself listening more to the music than dialogue or have just been struck by the music than this album is for you. Don't waste your time with other compilations - this (and the Daylight Session) is the album you want, no, need!
