A great comeback album from the diva herself. June 14, 2008 This album is great don't listen to all the other reviews from jesolus people, who don't have the supberb voice that mariah does. My favourite tracks on this album are mine again-great ballad shows off her wonderful voice Stay the night one and only featuring twista circles- yet again another great ballad Your girl- my favourite track on the album (i gonna make you want 2 get wit me 2nite,i gonna put those naughty thoughts into your mind your gonna knowfor sure i can be your girl. great lyrics. i wish you knew so lonely(one and only part 2) making it last all night featuring durpi her singles are also great. the worst track on this album has to be say something- i liked it at first but now i hate it. The only one who can challenge mariah is herself. YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR COLLECTION NOW.
NOT A DIVA! May 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nobody in Britain respects this lady and its about time we did!! Shes had the empire state building lit up for her, shes more successful than elvis and madonna, shes had 18 number ones and is not allowed to create an "Ultimate collection" because she's had too many hits!! Its only the UK that dont respect this lady and im ashamed to be a part of this country if that is the case! AMAZING ALBUM!! MY FAVE ALBUM!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Superb album, A definite classic. March 26, 2008 This album defiantly lived up to the claims people made about it, and the hype that surrounded it, and i think that's quite rare. I've had the original version of this album from around the time it came out in 2005, it's only recently that i've purchased the 'ultra platinum edition', i bought it because i enjoyed the original version so much, and even just for the sake of the four extra songs i still think it was well worth it. The level of vocal skill Mariah shows on this album is more than amazing, let me tell you now i have never ever heard the use of the octave scale in a more complex, difficult yet creative way as i did on this album, and i doubt i ever will again, i mean that voice, her voice is so special and beautifully unique, sometimes i wonder if it's even human. What more can i say, this album absolutely nails it for me, right down from the choice of producers used, to the overall image and the songs especially, it's R'n'B heaven. Highlights for me include 'Fly like a bird', if you like gospel you are guaranteed to love this, 'Mine again' powerful ballad with strong vocals, 'Circles' pure smooth R'n'B, 'Stay the night' again very smooth, 'It's like that' really good song, love the integrity of the song, it's really down to earth and honest of how Mariah feels and she passes this feeling on to the listeners, and finally 'I wish you knew', very good easy listening style R'n'B track, note that i've only listed the main songs in theory i loved every single song on the album. I mean no wonder it's worldwide sales have reached beyond 10 million. So that just leaves me to conclude with the sentence, yes Mariah, you've done it again.
mimi March 9, 2008 An excellent album with 19 tracks on it, Snoop Dogg and a few other rappers appear on it. This is Mariah Carey's finest album to date. Elements of soul, jazz, pop and retro in it.

I am a true Hard-Core Mariah Fan and was very excited for the release of this album. However, I was a bit apprehensive, purly because I just love the work of Daydream and Music Box and heard that this new album would be soley hip-hop...Oh how wrong I was! There's such a mix from RnB, pop and sensational ballads. She's definatly showing off all her talents in this album. It's hard to say that this is my favorite album to date because there are so many other that equalize to it. It has to be said though that Mariah is always way ahead for creativity, lyrics and that truely amazing voice. Well done Mariah.
