know you like my curves!!!! June 19, 2008 Oh! Mariah is so back!!, it's been a long long wait but it's here. This is classic Mariah, it's so cool, moody, laid back and safe playing for Mariah, but it's got to be said - this chorus is too die for. OK, she may be nearly 40, but she is one of the sexiest women on this planet. On a personnal note i think Migrate should have been the first single release which would have taken Mariah to an whole new level, and gained yet even more followers. This girl can do no wrong, and been the biggest selling female artist of all time, well it aint gonna be beaten in our lifetime........is it!!
Touch it yourself, dear! May 16, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
One could be forgiven for feeling ambivalent about Mariah Carey's sexual allure! But, as the ample-bosomed starlet approaches 40, not even lighting, makeup, or airbrushing can hide the inevitable ravages of time! "Touch My Body" continues in much the same vain as every other release that has come before! Innuendo-driven lyrics, with the obligatory vocal gymnastics that have become her stock-in-trade! Sadly, they lack any real emotional impact, serving only to undermine the actual message of the song! The accompanying video doesn't help matters, finding Mariah in yet more barely-there outfits and shaking her ample-sized booty for the whole world to see! Worse still is the single cover, in which she appears naked with a tactlessly-placed hat covering her modesty, which ultimately borders on soft porn! This may well have been the stuff of school boy fantasies when her career started almost twenty years ago, but it comes across as tried-hard and desperate now! It's a shame that an artist with such a remarkable vocal register should sell herself short with smut and sub-standard songs, but at least I can make the choice not to purchase it!
Well, it's got me converted April 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful

Touch My Body is the perfect song for the spring and equally perfect in its serving as a taster for Mariah's new album - E=MC2. It's a wonderfully upbeat song full of joy and as well as bearing all the trademark catchiness and top-notch production you'd expect from a Mariah single, it really sounds like she had fun recording this one. The brilliant video follows in much the same vein, Mariah herself looking simply gorgeous in it as she does on the single cover.
The song is a slick, sensuous blend of twinkling piano and lyrics that end up just going round and round your head all day - a truly addictive song you'll never get tired of that serves as a perfect showcase that Mariah has most definitely still got it. I wasn't initially a fan of her, not having heard many songs but Touch My Body has certainly got me converted - brilliant song.
(The Seamus Haji mix serving as the b-side could have been better though. It's OK, i suppose as standard commercial dance material, but the seriously slowed down vocal takes some getting used to.)

Positively Indulgent March 26, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't think of a more catcher song than this, i agree that it may not be like her finest work ever, i would say the best way to describe this mid-tempo number is frivolous, in other words very lighthearted, chilled out and fun, and like Mariah herself says it's not meant to be taken too seriously. As a lead single it's the perfect way to both advertise and open the album because i think people will appreciate it's charm, anyway i'm sure Mariah won't forget the ballads when it comes to the new CD.
A Welcome Return. March 12, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Touch My Body is the lead single off Mariah's new studio album E=MC2. The track is produced by C 'Tricky' Stewart (produced Rihanna's 'Umbrella' and has recently worked with Janet Jackson & Mary J Blige) and Mariah herself. It's a mid-tempo song that keeps things simple. It goes against the current trend of over-producing songs almost making the artist irrelevant. The beat is simple and catchy and Mariah's vocals are good on the record, though restrianed to keep the songs 'laid back' feel. The song has a very catchy hook and is slightly reminiscent of 'We Belong Together' with a bit more of a beat. This is a classic Mariah song which will no doubt be an international sucess and a pleasant listen for all, sticking closely to her own style of pop. This is what is needed to keep Mariah at the top!!
