I have always trusted the Nikon brand, and these binoculars are another reason why I have bought it.
The construction is very solid, the rubber armor and the RealTree camouflage finish are both top quality, and the focus wheel is precise and easily found and adjusted. The diopter adjustment is very precise, though, and works better than that of many other binoculars I have owned. The adjustable eyecups will be great for eyeglass wearers. I have got several binoculars like bushnell, leica, canon but I found this binos is outstanding.
The clarity is great in all light conditions. In very low light, they make the view brighter than what is seen with your eye, and in daylight, noticeably brighter. These binoculars will serve the user best from first light in the morning to last light in the evening, and also work great when used by flashlight or the headlights of a vehicle at night.
I agree with some user complaining about the lose eye caps that they are not the best. They fall off easily, and the objective lens caps stay in the case instead of coming out with the binoculars. The caps are equipped with slots for attaching them to the neck strap supplied with nikon 10x42 binoculars already to prevent loss, which is a plus. The caps serve their purpose of protection for the lenses when the binocs are not in use, though, and that's the main thing.
the nikon 10x42 binoculars included with padded black nylon carry case which is well made also, the only negative being it doesn't have a strap on it, just a belt loop. Depending on the user, that may be good or bad, but is a minor detail either way.
in the short word, I'm very satisfied with these binoculars, and recommend it for all binoculars users. |
