One word, "AWESOME" If you need a tool like this, this is the one, five star piece of kit, the other reviews have said it all.
Don't bother with anything else September 29, 2006 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Pricey when compared to other similar items, but the fibreglass poles are light, and the cutting action well geared. Comes with a lifetime guarantee. Well worth the extra cost as they are very well constructed. Also available with a pruning saw attachment that clamps around the top of the pole enabling you to easily prune thicker branches much higher than usual, whilst stood safely on the ground
Worth the extra money October 13, 2005 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
I bought this on the strength of the review by andybull59, and I have to say I fully agree with his opinion. This is a very well designed tool, really simple to use and cuts surprisingly easily. The ease with which you can alter the angle of the blade is great and the lever is never tight but always holds the blade at the correct angle. In my opinion it's well worth the extra cost and I'm very pleased with it.
Wilkinson Sword 220656 Telescopic Universal Cutter October 5, 2005 33 out of 33 found this review helpful
This is probably very boring but after breaking two of the 20 quid versions bought at local DIY outlets in three seasons, decided to see what you got for 60 quid. You get a name, Wilkinson Sword and a product that's been thought about and designed to do a job. The 4m reach is brilliant and combined with the swivel cutting head you can reach high branches comfortably. The slide cutting action is so easy that even my wife wanted a go pruning the cherry tree, a tape runs the length of shaft in a channel and then the blade is driven by a chain at the top, all self contained and it doesn't snag on branches. Conclusion: Brilliant product, well put together feels like a real tool not a cheap tube with a blade and a bit of string.
