Does not live up to Bosch standards May 25, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Thought this was very good idea, as I hate pulling cords around the garden, so bought Bosch as brand has a good reputation, but went to use the strimmer for first time this year and battery is not holding a charge, and it was two weeks out of warranty, and considering it has not been used for the last 5/6 months this is very annoying, and the new battery costs more than a new strimmer, so will probably go buy a corded machine, and probably not Bosch, very disapointing.
Don't bother with this one May 6, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
It's a great idea, cordless and no string to mess with - but the battery won't last and the "widgets" you use instead of string are a hassle to buy. Don't waste your money.
Trimmer gets dimmer April 26, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This strimmer works well and is very handy for the allotment. But the blades break easily and are hard to find. I am disappointed that the battery has not lasted for even one year. It is cheaper to buy, if you buy from Argos, a new strimmer than replace the battery and that seems ridiculous, but I have a lot of blades in stock.......and is is comparatively cheap.
Bosch Cordless Strimmer September 21, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Does a neat job, but a couple of issues:
1. No Safety switch (press button in and then another button to turn on), like most strimmers / garden tools I have used. Managed to strim my ankles which hurt a bit!
2. Blades don't last long and seem to be fairly expensive to replace( if you can find a stockist!).
Would I buy again? Not sure. You get good results, but above points spoil another wise good product.
