Having already bought a really expensive resin garden set last year, I was not in the market for another huge expense, but still needed something smart to replace my old teak table.
This set is surprisingly well made, I say that as it is obviously mass produced, as reflected in the price, and I was not expecting it to be anything special. Yet the first thing that struck me was how heavy it was. and whilst this may not seem a good selling/ buying point, it was a bonus for me as I have had more than one garden table blow away in a high wind. The shape of the table is very attractive but the thing I really like about this gate legged table is that it has very simple locking pins that keep the legs secure, so unlike other tables of this type, you are unlikely to lose your plate of food as someone accidentally kicks the leg in.
The chairs are my only slight concern as the seat is held in by six screws which could work their way loose over time as the wood is not a real hardwood, however they are extremely comfy and compact quite thinly for easy storage. So with only a small worry over the durability of the seats I would still say that this is a very good purchase especially with the added bonus of the parasol.
