5 out of 5 stars The defenitive wireless controller for your PS2   June 21, 2008
Anybody who has shopped third-party should be well aware that there is a multitude of wireless controllers available for PS2 (and none of them are first-party either), of course as with everything, they all vary in quality, this being the 3rd wireless controller i've used, and the fact that it being wireless was probably what put me into buying it over another DualShock2 since Sony didn't bother doing a wireless variation.

The controller itself, is like most others, has a dongle that just plugs into the controller port and acts as the reciever, the controller itself as a matte feel to it as opposed to plastic, this acts as a grip and is very comfortable, the buttons, one thing I have found with most third-party controllers is that the D-Pad is supposed to act like an analog stick (third-party PS1 controllers were first to adopt this so people could play Digital-Only games with an Analog-Stick like D-Pad, and it sucks) and the buttons are stiff and not easy to press.. no worries here. The D-Pad is like a Megadrive D-Pad for people who remember the Megadrive, and the buttons are just alot like DualShock2 buttons. I preferred this alot to the other wireless controllers for the PS2. I cannot comment on the battery life yet as I have not had the controller for long, but I would definetely recommend this to anybody looking for a great wireless controller for your PS2, because hey, there might be next-generation consoles such as the 360 or PS3 (personally I own a PS3), but when will Metal Gear Solid 3 lose it's replay value?

In summary, this is pretty much the best wireless controller available for the PS2, if your looking for a wireless controller to replace the aged wired DualShock2, look no further. Sure, it's alot more expensive than other wireless controllers, but you get what you pay for eh?

5 out of 5 stars Quality,- best by far   April 29, 2008
I've used quite a few controllers for the PS2 & I have to say that this wireless option is the best by far, puts a grin on your chops.
Well made & very comfotable & natural to hold, the responsiveness is excellent with subtle, progressive pressure controls & no lag. Love it.

5 out of 5 stars So good I bought two   March 27, 2008
I bought one of these about a year ago and just like eveyone else I find it as near perfect as you can get, so I decided to buy another one, only after I bought it I thought I might have a problem with them interfering with each other, however when I plugged them both in they work flawlessly.

5 out of 5 stars The best of its class   January 24, 2008
Basically im complying with what everone else has written, simple, reliable and very fun. If I had to citicise it I would say the joysticks are not quite springy enough ( they roll around their socket to easily and with too little resistance), that it is slightly heavyer than the dualshock original and that the R and L buttons have a slightly different feel. All this is trivial though, - you only notice how important a good controller is when you dont have one- well worth the money ,well built, brilliant gaming quality, no lag and generally a brilliantly reliable controller.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent well made product - So tidy!   November 12, 2007

This controller is virtually identical to the original wired sony dual shock 2 controller when you compare the layout and spacing of buttons and sticks, size of grip etc. Weight is heavier due to the 2 AA size batteries it uses (supplied). If you like the feel of the original controler this will probably suit you. There is no detectable lag in use and the convenience of getting rid of the cable really has to be tried to appreciate just how pleasant this is to use. Vibration can be switched on or off by a button on the controller. There is nothing to set up, you plug the receiver/transmitter bit into the controller port, put the batteries in the controller and use it! No on/off switch to bother about as the controller automatically switches on and off as the playstation is powered up. All in all, just like the Dual Shock2 but without the cable.
