Too much May 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great product that I desperately want. But there's no way I'm spending that much money. This is my first review and I'm writing in the hope Amazon will pass this on to the manufacturer. Drop the price (60 seems reasonable) and I'll buy. Buy from the States, as other posters have pointed out, it's half the price there
GAME COMES WITH IT May 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I emailed amazon saying:
I am planning on Buying Rock Band: Band in a Box (Xbox 360), and on the item discription it says: * Rock Band Special Edition for Xbox 360 includes: guitar, mic, drum kit peripherals plus software.
But everyone keeps saying you have to buy the game seperately for a extra Â40 making the total Â140. Can you confirm if the game comes with the periphels or if I will have to order it seperately. Thanks,Leigh.
And they emailed me back saying:
Dear Customer
Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk with your enquiry. After looking into your enquiry I found that software is included with this item "Rock Band: Band in a Box (Xbox 360)".
We hope that this information is helpful.
So you get the game and the peripherals for 100.
Wait for Guitar Hero 4! May 15, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree that EA are ripping us off in Europe. Not including the game is probably the stupidest move possible.
Wait for Guitar Hero 4 because it is going to have drums and singing in addition to guitar and bass.... so Guitar Hero is copying Rock Band? Yes, but it will probably be better, cheaper (especially if you already have a Guitar Hero 3 guitar or two), and the build quality of the instruments will be better (the Rock Band peripherals have been widely slated for their bad build quality and malfunction rate).
Software IS included May 13, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of the best games ever to have been launched on ANY console. PLaying as part of a band with other players, be they your friends or people over the world, nothing like this has ever been accomplished before to this degree of sheer fun and slickness. Oh and buy the way, software IS included!
stop the moaning May 13, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
why the heck are people moaning, if you was to by the instruments seperate, the drums alone would be worth at least 40-50 pounds, and everyone knows the guitars are at least 40+ pounds then there is the microphone would be 10-15 pounds at least. in america they pay 60 dollors for games and we pay 40-50 pounds so we allways end up paying more, its not just this game thats more expensive here.
i must admit that the original price of 180 pounds was too steep, but i always said all along that if the price was 130-140 id buy it, even guitar hero is expensive and nobody moaned about that, nearly 80 pounds that cost me on release with delivery so for another 60 pounds i can have a set of drums and a microphone, that seems fine by me.
i for one am buying it, and im looking forward to jamming with my mates, amazon expect my order soon.
