Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360)
I bet most of the one star reviews are from PS3 owners who are jelous because this game is an exclusive to xbox 360.
But thats not why i'm giving this 5 stars.......
Looking at the videos from E3 and the website anyone can see this game is going to be a huge leap forward from the first game, GOW was a starting pint for epic and learning from their mistakes in the first game the second one will be polished to perfection. :)
Epic promises that everything will be tweaked to perfection and if you know how bad host advantage was on the first game's multiplayer Epic have promised to make there little or no more host advantage for the second game.
Campain will remain 2 player but with a 5 player "survival mode" where you and 4 of your friends must fight against 50 increasingly difficuilt waves of enemies.
Overall this looks to be one of the best games of 2008 coming this november!
P.S. please don't give this game one star until you've played it or just because you own a PS3.

instead of all you people whinging about reviews before the game is released, why don't you email amazons customer service with the idea of changing a system. perhaps we could have a previews section for games/dvd's/music e.t.c which could then be taken down and replaced with a reviews section on the day of release. this would solve the problem.

I've played this game for a few hours now (.....in my mind) and i've gotta say it really is awesome (.....in my mind). Not only can you play as locust as well as marcus, you can play as rambo, captain america, iron man....you can even play as abe lincoln (.....in my mind).
The only downfall to this game is the fact that cos it's not out yet, i can only play this game....in my mind.

I cant believe people are reviewing this game. Gears of War 2 is so last week. Those of us keeping an eye on new releases will know Gears of War 3 will be out soon.
So i propose we all stop talking about GoW2 and start a new debate about what we want and don't want in GoW3.
Two quick things id like to say about GoW2 before moving on are, does anybody else agree that the penultimate chapter of act 2 is one of the most gripping bits of story telling in gaming history. Also, I love the new DLC. This has finally got me back on the 360 - I have been absolutely hooked on the new Nintendo Puu (Sony and Microsoft take note this is how next-gen gaming should be and the PS4 and 720 will have to go a long way to beat it for originality). Especially Puu Fit that game is genius and in the 3 weeks ive been playing it have grown two inches and gained 20-20 vision. Anyways back to the DLC I love all five new maps, with my faves being tunnels and the awesome locust abattoir those environmental kills you can do are gruesome, even if the idea was ripped off the disturbing but nonetheless brilliant Condemned 4.
Back to GoW 3, the things I want to see are even more locusts on screen at once, other characters to play as in the single player - besides Marcus and Dom's wife and a fourth difficulty level as I found insane a lot easier on GoW 2 than the original. My uncle did hear from his milkman that there will be six acts instead of the usual five adding length to the story, obviously this would be great.
Im off to the cinema now, to see Spiderman 4.
