LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Of course, pop culture's most iconic archeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games.

Good fun but not as good as star wars July 12, 2008 I have recently bought this as I am a big fan of Lego Star Wars. Its a good game but doesnt really add much to the existing franchise. Its great to have some fresh levels and characters to get stuck into and there are some nice touches but it doesnt bring anything new. It is however, great fun for all ages and backgrounds. Its definitely worth buying, especially if you enjoy Indi films and the star wars lego game.
This game suffers from lack of 'characters' July 11, 2008 Having played the wonderful Lego Star Wars and enjoyed a literal universe of instantly recognisable characters this came as somewhat of a disappointment. Whilst being Indy is extremely satisfying it's really not much fun having to play his various sidekicks (as opposed to Star Wars where you could be Boba Fett, Darth Vadar, Luke, Han Solo, R2-D2, Chewbacca... the list goes on.
With this game, you get a few incarnations of Indy and a whole raft of pretty forgettable and generic characters. It's not the fault of the game, it's just that the trilogy was built around one main character.
The whole format is pretty much the same as Star Wars (basically a series of puzzles and a lot of block smashing).
The presentation is top draw and there's plenty of witty film reference jokes but I feel that there's not enough depth and in multiplayer one of you will become bored by playing second fiddle to the main character.
On the plus side, it looks as if the balance will be redressed later in the year with Batman Lego.
Tons of fun for everyone July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I never thought I would like this game, looked silly & childish, but my husband bought it for me so I had to give it a go and I'm so glad I did. So much fun to play, you can play out all 3 of the classic films in story mode with the original characters and once you've completed the level you can come back and play in free play with any character from the trilogy and collect all the collectibles and tidy up the levels which is so much fun and gives hours of entertainment. Loads of extra fun things to do, collectibles, bonus levels, post boxes to collect that give you power ups and silly extras, tons of extra characters to unlock, all in all terrific fun. Challenging enough to keep you playing, but not too hard to make you give up. And the best part is there are always two characters playing on screen so you can play with a someone else and work together, which is brilliant as I hate two player games were you have to compete with each other. Also includes the trailer for the new Lego Batman game which looks great too.
not bad but not what its cranked up to be June 14, 2008 0 out of 10 found this review helpful
from the second i first heard about this game a few months back i was interested, my inner childexited about recreating that indy magic.its not abad game,as such, it looks pretty and is sort of fun to play, and i am a hude fan on how the second player can dip in and out at any point in the campain, a feature sadly lacking in many games. also as i am in fairly early stages of the game it is great playing thorough the indy movies that weve all senn countless times. some how this game just aint that great i just cant seem to enjoy playing a game in which when you die you re-spawn exactly where you died, this seems to take away the feeling of risk and suspence which i must admit is quite an achivment. this game is yes, aimed at children, soom adults may enjoy it but to me it just dosnt offer enogh challange to intrest me or most adult gamers. my advice is for chikldren this game may be fun with the simple approach to the game but for adult gamers this is the wrong game.
Riddled with bugs!!!! June 12, 2008 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Just like Indiana Jones films this game has lots of bugs in it....
At the moment I am in the Last Crusade section....it took 3 attempts to finish the first level as the boss at the end could not be killed as he was in the water for some daft reason and should have been in his boat. In the second level this had to be quit as a chair cannot be pushed across a movable floor. This is after spending considerable time collecting all the money and treasures...all for nothing!
I want to like the game, being a big Indy fan and also loved the Star wars lego games, but this is pretty poor in my opinion.....
Does anyone know if patches are available to download for the PS3?
