LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Of course, pop culture's most iconic archeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games.

Very Enjoyable! July 22, 2008 Well what can I say, this is one of the most enjoyable games I have played on the Wii and PS3 in recent years, don't get me wrong the graphics won't blow you away, but is very good fun. The format is identical to the Lego Starwars games where two characters with different skills fight there way through each level. The levels are spread across all three original films and are very charming following the films well. The levels can also be a tad challenging in places where you must solve puzzles to gain access to bonus aress too. The best aspect is by far the multiplayer action, where you can have a friend help you through the game. Like the starwars games the game can be replayed again and again using different characters to find all objects in the levels to unlock bonus areas. After playing the game I can say that there isn't any bugs as of yet, so all is well there. I'd recomend this game to anybody who enjoyed the Lego Starwars games, general gamers and fans of Indiana Jones. It's a great game at a reasonable price too.
as good as it gets? July 19, 2008 I am not a video gamer and picked this one up by accident for the Wii platform.....woweeee! Talk about addictive fun, after a hard days work, this sure as hell gets rid of the gremlins and is thoroughly enjoyable. Tongue in cheek send up of the original series it may be, but it is also totally consuming and great fun. There are lovely hidden touches throughout the game and graphics are good, as a clever modern day game based on the classic 3 Indiana Jones films it is a sure winner.
Problems with game freezing July 12, 2008 Thoroughly enjoyed playing Lego Indy, apart from the game freezing in "Trouble in the Sky". Got no joy with the Activision when I sent them an email with the problem, tried telling me it was my disc then it was my Wii itself causing the problem. My friend has Lego Indy for his Xbox 360, he freezes too in free play mode. It appears that lots of people are having the same problems if you search the internet, although Activision won't accept that there is a general problem with the software. Apart from that what a great game. Completed it in just over a week, very addictive. Cant wait until Lego Batman arrives in September, have pre-ordered my copy!
Just as good as Lego Star Wars - why aren't there more two player games! June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
With a 5 year old son I am still struggling with adulthood and cannot resist the urge to have a play with my Wii on a far too regular basis. Lego Star Wars and now, Lego Indiana Jones, gives me a great excuse to spend quality time with my son and still be a kid with computer games ... fantastic! There are those who scorn children with computer games and yes, it should be limited. HOWEVER my son is now far more dextrous and solves puzzles and loves to read and build lego as a result of our "Wednesday Wii" afternoons.
The gameplay is nice and simple to understand and the team play works so well (there are puzzles where one person has to be in one place and the other player has to pull a lever at the same time in order to progress). Other occasions where we can work well as a team are where one of us can be duffing up the opposition while the other one dashes about gathering coins and discovering spades and secret panels etc.
As with Star Wars lego you can also create your own personalised character which is great and means that, even when you have completed the game in "Story Mode" you are really only half way through and can start from the beginning again and it never really gets boring. I have to confess though, I have searched on-line for a walk-through, y'know - just in case like! The walkthroughs and codes seem to be fairly easy to find (it's already available on wikicheats.com) and the fast build and fast fix codes are quite useful.
I heard a rumour that they may be doing a Lego Batman game too ... bring it on!
More lego fun ! June 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After playing lego star wars i couldnt wait for this to come out. Ive been playing this a few days now and i havent been dissapointed, more great lego fun. Obviously the game is basically the same format to lego star wars with you playing your way through all 3 films. On first playing i have noticed that the levels seem to be more challenging than lego star wars, so for those who were dissapointed with the ease of lego star wars (i wasnt one of them) should find this more challenging. Again all the humour is present , which makes these lego games rise above similar titles. Ive played a few games on the wii but for me these lego games are te best. I think the beauty of them is that they dont take themselves too seriously. Its just a great romp of lego, humour , action and puzzle solving. enjoy !!
