Don't waste your money buying this July 25, 2008 Possibly the worst game I have ever seen, I wasn't expecting much for 12 quid just average graphics and something playable. I don't mind poor graphics as long as the game has some of the wii's playability e.g. Wii Sports Tennis. I'm afraid this game lets down on all levels. Terrible graphics, bad menus, slow games which are constantly interrupted by the beach sports logo and annoying music. My advice is steer clear.
Awful July 19, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is frankly rubbish.
Awful gameplay - completely unresponsive controls. I could get past the rubbish graphics and awful music which given the current standard of game design must have taken all of 5 minutes to cobble together, but the controls actually don't work. I lost count of the number of times the ball hit me in the face on volleyball as it didn't register my movement, or the lack of control on the golf and boules where you can't adjust the strength of shot, or cricket where you have to swing as the ball leaves the bowlers hand, and the slower you move your arm the faster the bowler bowls the ball (?!), or american football where you can hardly control anything and simply have to throw. The worst game of all however, is the 5 a side football, which is frankly the worst football game ever made. Sensible soccer on the NES was both better, more responsive and truer to life than this truly awful, uncontrollable, pointless, dreadful game.
I played it for around 2 hours and have now taken it to trade in and I got 6 for it. Which is 6 more than it is worth.
Big Beach Boules July 16, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Despite the price and the amount of games offered, I find it difficult to recommend Big Beach Sports to anyone.
One major gripe is the gameplay. Aside from timing the Wii movements to strike the ball, you really don't feel like you're exerting any control over what your player is doing.
Unfortunately, the game becomes tedious after a very short time. Even playing your friends doesn't lift it in any way. You would think that beach volleyball, beach football and beach cricket would offer so much in terms of fun gameplay on the Wii but the most intuitive and enjoyable game on Big Beach Sports is Boules...
Brill game for a good price! July 15, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think this game is well worth the money, it is one of the cheaper games for the wii and to be honest the graphics arent brilliant but the game play is! It is a lot of fun and you can play with family and friends either as a team or as competitors! Definatly a good buy!
Not worth the money July 13, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I thought that seeing as I've enjoyed the Wii Sports game that comes with most consoles, that this would be just as fun. In fact, it's rubbish. Wish I'd never spent the money on it.
