 Fun, fun, fun!!! July 24, 2008
I bought this game a few days ago and I must say, it is really good. I remember playing Mario Kart with my school mates on the SNES back in the Nineties and this version is just as good - if not better! The presentation, graphics, sound and game mechanics are perfectly executed. In particular, the handling of the Karts, based on the individual attributes of each of the characters, is a joy.
This beats most of the drivel that is out there at the moment. Games should be about escapism and fun (I'm looking at you GTA IV). The DS is the best console out there at the moment (I have owned every major console since the old Atari that was finished in wood and came with PacMan and Pong).
I have not gone online yet but, from reading other reviews that will be a blast too! In short - BUY THIS GAME!!!

Now I've been playing Mario Kart since it started way back on the SNES!
I have all versions of this Mario Kart over numerous Nintendo Consoles!
This game is definitely be the top my favourite Mario Kart games in the series! I have also purchased Mario Kart Wii which is also a brilliant game. The DS version was really the beta for on-line racing on Nintendo console. However compared to the Wii offering of on-line options Mario Kart DS is very limited, however this is to be expected as this was the first on-line DS game! The DS version has excellent controls and memorable tracks (I love Rainbow Road!).

This game is really fun. graphics are brilliant. But after ages it can get a bit boring but only a little bit. Ovrall im happy i have this game and could play for it for 3 hours maxium. lol. Luv this game.

This game gets a "5" from me, just because my children haven't fought once since they got it. A real bonus for any parent, and so well worth the money.

I think mario kart is one of the best games ever. It's got great graphics and characters including Mario,Lugi,Peach and Yoshi. There are many courses-my favourite is Choco Mountain. I rate Mario Kart to all ages.
