Buy this, not the unofficial ones October 25, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This particular contorl looks best with the silver PS2. It just doesn't seem to look as good with the black or aqua ones. If you're thinking of buying a new control pad for your PS2, I would definatly recommend the official dualshock 2 pad because it's just so much more reliable than the cheaper unofficial ones that you can pick up.
Who cares if you don't have a silver PS2 console? December 5, 2005 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
The satnin silver controller will work just fine with your Play Station 9000 series. I've just had my one rebooted and my old PSone is just as fiesty as ever. I tried out my black controller and it passed the test with flying colurs. So let me tell you, if you don't have a silver PS2 console but you do have a Play Station 900 series then this will be so ideal for it. I'm getting mine for Christmas but I just can't wait until then. I think I'll get it now.
It's a control pad. But silver. July 30, 2005 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
Do you have a silver PS2? If yes, then you should get a silver control pad. If not, stick to the black ones. This is a basic dualshock 2 control pad exactly the same as the one that comes with the console. It's official release so better quality than many of the cheaper 3rd party control pads. If you need an extra controller for your ps2 always get official release as most 3rd party models are inferior quality and break much more quickly (believe me, i know from experience). Nothing much has changed with Sony control pads since the days of the PSX...they had thumbsticks added and that's about it. Still, the design is comfortable and easy to use. I'd say the X-Box S-Pad is probably better overall (for those who like comparisons) but, obviously, this doesn't matter if you're looking for a ps2 controller! Like i said, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and is the best controller for ps2...but do you have a silver console? ;-)

I've now owned a PS2 for around 3/4 years, and the controller I got with the PS2 has survived long use since then. However I purchased a spare (the silver) and the 'R1' button fell out within 2 years! I know 2 years is a long time but it may be worth purchasing a third party controller as many have a lifetime guarantee
Same as blask but silver February 20, 2004 6 out of 36 found this review helpful
This come with the silver consoles so you don't really need it but if you get a multiap and have a silver ps2 get this other wise get a black one.
