Good quality portable speaker system required !! July 7, 2008 Ive just bought an 8gb ipod nano 3rd gen and want a good quality speaker system thats portable. I have looked into it and it appears the Bose sounddocks are not compat with the 3rd gen nano tho the sound dock II is portable, and the Klipsch iGroove or room groove although take the 3rd gen do not look like they are portable. does anyone know of a good quality speaker system for a 3rd gen nano that i can unplug and take to another room without having to rely on a mains power supply ? cheers Andy
Superb June 26, 2008 This is a superb product at a great price. I've really enjoyed watching films on it and 8gb is more than enough space to throw in a few music albums too. The screen is bright with a resolution that makes it comfortable to watch for extended periods. After previously owning an iPod with Firewire, I've not found the USB cable an issue - it's still a quick transfer.
Excellent & very easy to use June 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My first MP3 and it's great. V easy to use, good sound quality, black finish looks nice. I hate all standard ear pieces which fall out so bought black Sennheiser comfortable ones to go with it. V impressed with amount of music and photos the 8GB stores (worth paying the small extra to get this largest capacity Nano). Size and weight are excellent, screen is clear. Good options available eg bass reducer to adjust the type of sound. So quick and easy to switch between playlists. The only downside is that I'm now addicted to playing the card game and quiz - I have no life left! Apple really should supply a power charger with it, for when people travel or don't want to sync to computer each time charging - I bought lightweight one via Amazon for about 4 - no need to spend 19 on the one on Apple's site. Buy this Nano, it really is good.
fabulous! June 17, 2008 I've never own an ipod before, I've never wanted to be part of the whole 'ipod clique'. But when my 5year old mp3 player decided to give up on me, I must admit I was drawn in by the flashiness of the new ipod nano.
I am now soooo glad I bought it. I love it! It is by far the cutest thing I've ever seen and it takes a lot to impress me. Its now with me where ever I go. I've got my favourite movies, pictures and tv shows on it and it can still hold loads of songs.
The best purchase ever! Couldn't be happier! Don't believe the negative stuff people say about them...not had any trouble with it whatsoever. I didn't really like having to get used to using itunes instead of my old software, but its a small price to pay.
Seriously buy one! will be the smartest thing you ever do!
I love my Nano June 15, 2008 I previously only had a Panasonic MP3 player which are not available in the UK, so I am new to iPods. I'm really impressed with my Nano, the discrete Nano holds way more music than the Panosonic and is easier to use. The Nano combined with a Bose portable SoundDock means that I can listen to all my favourite tracks both inside and outside my home. The Cover Flow is impressive but not all album covers are available. The Nano also has the option of adding the lyrics to a track but this means finding the lyrics yourself then cutting and pasting them to the track. The only minuses is that the Nano does not have an integral radio so you have to buy this as an accessory (my Panosonic had an integral radio and voice recorder) and that it doesn't have the option of black headphones (white ones are too obvious). On the whole I would recommend this as a purchase.
