 Really does make cleaning the patio 10x quicker March 16, 2008

I'd read some of the other glowing reviews here before splashing out on the patio cleaner tool. I'm using it with a K6 and it really is superb - makes cleaning the patio more like vacuuming the carpet (just a lot wetter).
Points to note:
1) Works well on stone and brickwork; also seems less prone to removing pointing than using the lance. You can hold it vertically against walls to clean bricks quickly (wear waterproofs...)
2) The steel extension rod supplied with (as a handle) can also be used on other accessories (make the lance/car brush longer) which was a nice surprise.
3) The "hovercraft action" isn't a gimmick. The tool "floats" on the spray it makes and makes manoeuvring it quick and easy.
4) Well built - seems like it will last - better than the other accessories I've seen with the K6
5) Had my patio clean from 9 years of gunk about 28 hours from placing the order with Amazon for this and the K6 pump!

Last year it took me over 2 hours to clean my patio with a power lance attached to my K400 Karcher.This year I did the same area using this tool in 30 minutes and I did not get wet, there was not too much wasted water and it is reasonably quiet. So if you have drives and patios to clean this tool is an absolute must and Amazon delivered it to me in less than a week. Job done BRILLIANT.....................

This piece of equipment has really annoyed my next door neighbour as he spent a day and a half power washing the brick drive of his house. He has time to take so long about a job as he is retired but having young children I would deem it to be a waste of a good weekend.
I spent 4 hours going over our drive with the neighbour saying how it would not be as good as his efforts when low and behold once the water had dried out you could not see the difference between his efforts and mine where our block paving met. His face was a picture and I told him he could borrow it if he wished.
Well worth the money especially as you can clean in shorts without getting covered in muck.

I ummed and aaahed about buying this attachment, but a natural stone slab patio whose looks were fading fast due to mould and dirt pushed me to try it. I didn't think it would work, or that it would work TOO well and destroy the cement joints.
I turned it on, pushed it over the patio and it was if I could have written my name clearly on the patio - the difference was staggering. Yep, some places needed more time, but I found using the very edge of the device had the biggest cleaning capacity.
In less than an hour, my patio looked like new. With no damage to the cement on full power. "Her indoors" was mightily impressed! There is the capacity on mine to wind back the power if needed.
Just about to try it on my block paving driveway, but on the lower power setting.
Strongly recommend. Little mess and real improvement.

If you are using your Karcher to clean paths and patios etc., this is the attachment you need. It allows the water from the Karcher to do the cleaning without splashing debris everywhere. It suppports its own (not inconsiderable) weight using the force of the water exiting the nozzle, so it is easy to use for extended periods of time. It is not cheap, but it will save time, effort and mess if you are cleaning paths and patios.
