Awesome! July 5, 2008 Assassin's Creed is... great. Really, it is.
Firstly, the graphics and realism are fantastic, unrivaled when it came out. Now it does have some rivals, but I won't name them (because I'm lazy). Doing the side missions and fighting 25 guards at once is fun, when you know how. The story is excellent; with a ridiculous cliffhanger which is annoying, but it does fulfill its purpose of making you want to play the sequel. Its set difficulty is perfect for everyone, from casual to hardcore, and many games fail when it comes to this.
Now the bas points. The enemy AI, is to say the least, a joke. Kill a guard and stand there, another guard will come and say "Who did this?!". This will happen again and again. Admittedly it's quite funny. Freerunning is a great feature, but sometimes you'll find it hard to go diagonally from a building. Speaking of freerunning, if you're a super agile assassin, how come lowly guards with bulky armour can do every you can do? Oh well. It makes it more challenging. Stealth is virtually non-existent, however, it's fun to just kill people. Lastly, the targets are virtually impossible to stealthily assassinate, and it can take a couple of tries, since you can sometimes have 40 guards attacking you when you're trying to kill someone specifically, but fleeing after the assassination is brilliant and gives you a rush of desperation.
Now; the repetition. Honestly, there isn't much, unless you blaze through the game in one weekend, which isn't how this game is meant to be played. If you spread it out over, let's say, a fortnight, you'll love every part of this game.
Finally, the ending is epic. There's very few games with better endings than this.
Overall, I'd give this game an 8.5/10, and I'll round it down to a 4 star rating. It's a great game, but it's not perfect. Many of these things are minor and can easily be fixed in its two upcoming sequels.

PLEASE..... I dont want to save another citizen, climb a viewpoint or find a flag....AHHHHHHHH...Surely they could have made each level a little different. Every level is exactly the same..zzzzzzzzzzzzz. All graphics no gameplay.
Best game for Xbox 360!!!!!!!!!!!!! June 21, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This (in my opinion) is the best game for Xbox 360, trumping even the mighty GTA4. The fights and graphics are the best I have experienced and when you get past the endless cutscenes at the start you find yourself in the middle of a fantastic game.

STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!
one of the the best games ive played although the investigations got a little repetetive i would recommend this to anybody
Perfection! June 7, 2008 10 out of 10, and I'm not easily impressed, WOW A BLUE CAR! Seriously though, this is an absolutely amazing game, after hearing so much about it, most good, I decided to try it for myself and its not let me down. The graphics are sharp, the storyline is good, ease of control brilliant (VERY IMPORTANT), huge array of moves, so much to do, and a long story. These arn't my type of games normally either. I am more a blow stuff up man, but this has got me hooked!
