Walk this way... February 23, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this pedometer with a little apprehension. However, I am pleased to say that it is excellent. I lend it out to clients and they all think it's good too. The safety clip is brilliant.
Highly recommended February 13, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I`ve recently taken up walking as a means of losing weight & although I`m not that bothered about how many steps I walk I wanted to know how far I`ve walked
This is far & away the best pedometer on the market.
it is very accurate & I either have it hanging from a lanyard or put it in a shirt pocket
its good you don`t have to clip it to your hip
if you`re after a step counter/distance covered device this is the one
excellent value as its such good quality
only (minor) gripe is that distance is in km rather than miles but its not hard to convert from one to the other. The plastic clip is flimsy but its better on a lanyard anyway
TOP piece of kit
to the reviewer who said it isn`t accurate you must have either set it up wrongly or you have a defective one.
Accurate and well made - it's worth the money! February 8, 2008 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I've wasted money on cheap pedometers before, but I can tell you now that this little beauty is worth every penny. It's robust, easy to set up and (this is the important bit) accurate - which has been quite disturbing in my case, as I hadn't quite realised just how inactive I can be. As such, it has also been an invaluable tool for encouraging me to get out there and exercise, even if it's just a stroll round the local park. It's seven day memory is handy for keeping track of the week's progress, and the aerobic step count is great for showing you how much consistent exercise you've had. I've already been glad of the additional safety cord (when the main clip on device got jiggled out of place during a vigorous bike ride) which gives me extra confidence that the thing isn't going to go astray if I exercise hard while wearing it. It is easy to read too, with a clear unfussy display. If you want a good, well made accurate pedometer I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this one.
not great January 31, 2008 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
this item is not accurate at all. I walked about 15 steps in my house and this pedometer recorded 250 steps. Very disappointed with it - considering the other reviews. Would not recommend this at all.
Fantastic! Best buy in a while January 30, 2008 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I purchased this pedometer as I wanted to keep an eye on my fitness level myself. This truly is the best purchase I've made in terms of sports equipment. I keep it on as much as I can (it's a bit difficult at work) and I can keep an eye on my progress throughout the day. My goal is 10,000 steps a day right now so because I know I'm trying to reach this I got out of my way (taking the long walk to the station, walking the escalators) to get my steps up and do my 10,000 a day. And the result...I'm not a big girl anyway but I wanted to lose 20 pounds and since I started 3 weeks ago I've already lost 4 pounds. Granted I'm eating three healthy meals a day and having 2 healthy snacks but seriously after trying so many exercise programs and diets this really is the easiest, funnest way! If I decide to do an aerobics session or play tennis, whatever all the steps just add up counting towards my target. It even has an aerobic step counter, calories and can hold up to 7 days worth of information which means I can keep a track on my progress - great! The only thing I would say is I can't really hide it under my clothes when I'm at work so I have to guess how many steps I'm taking in that time but the good thing is when you're out and about you can put it in your bag or clip it to your belt - it doesn't have to be physically attached to you to count your steps and it is VERY accurate.
