Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Extremely useful, but potentailly addictive   January 25, 2006
14 out of 14 found this review helpful

A useful package of tools that allow one to look backwards at one's income & expenditure, update one's investments (with market prices) and assess their performance, and look forwards to ask "when can I retire?"

It's very comprehensive, and has no obvious bugs, and (despite other reviewers' niggles) easy to customize, but be warned: it can become addictive if one feels the need to keep updating it each week or so to make sure the 'net worth' reflects all the latest transactions.

Net: an extremely useful tool to help one manage one's finances, and who knows - retire early.

4 out of 5 stars Intuit UK Abandon Quicken   January 31, 2005

The last chap may be upset with Money 2005 going backwards but I just received a letter from Intuit UK informing me that they are pulling out of the UK market with Quicken. I am now battling to bring all my accounts over from Quicken XG (an awful piece of software) to Money 2004 ... it would seem I should buy Money 2005 and gain some assistance.

1 out of 5 stars Going backwards!?   January 21, 2005

I switched to Money from Quciken 5 years ago, multi-currency on-line banking, portfolio tracking ... I needed the works. When I bought Money 2005 I never guessed that they would go backwards! There is a limit on the currencies you can use. No more 'custom' currencies. Real currencies whcih didn't make 'the list' have to be converted into some other currency at par!?!

I'm flabergasted. I guess its back to 2004 for me, or maybe Quciken!
