All in one solution? Happy Days... January 4, 2001

Having bought the package I was faced with a choice of having a different system set up for me by my host provider.But a couple of things tipped the balance in favour of this product. Firstly the instructions for the E-Commerce engine were very simple and clear, if anything they repeat everything, not that you realise at first as it can all seem a bit daunting. Secondly the pleasant surprise came when I found that you only have to save 1 file, just save your template store AS any name you choose, and the program looks after everything, you never have to worry about links of signing up for merchant accounts or what format your pictures are, because the program generates your site when you click on 'UPLOAD' in the file menu and secondly it trys to get you to sign up,fill in your company info,update your product database,etc EVERY time you open the main program, until you do it, hey only sign up for the credit card processing accounts WHEN your ready, why pay monthly charges plus start up charges for nothing right. Lastly, this is a complete suite of programs, from IE to netscape to a graphics package to a (30 day demo) FTP (File transfer Protocol) program, to the secure shuttle server program. Plus an additional CD with website templates, changing the look of the site is a few clicks away. The only file you are directly encouraged to edit is the front file Index.htm, you can change the look and feel of the others with the template command but are told throughout, these are E-Commerce files which have complicated programming in them, and not HTML either, so don't touch, a nice touch I'm sure and one which will eventually make you realise, hey man, I can't fiddle this one to death, just import or type in your products and get selling!!! Wow, if you've ever coaxed a page into existence and painfully scuplted,edited,checked,and round again for 2 or 3 weeks, this program is like a breath of fresh air. Two final points. The program has directory and search engine submission to, so thats easy then isn't it, and a final nice tohuch, and one which I was looking for, is that your pages will ask visitors to sign up with some details even if they don't buy now, the 'cookies' WILL remember them, even if it's an hour a day or a week later, this is important people, if you've not yet got the hang of cookies, this takes your site to the next level.Oh and I don't have to pay my hosting service a monthly charge to use all these goodies either, happy days. Merchant account here I come.
