I have used Autosketch 9 for a few years and it is superb. It is not only relatively easy to pick up, and intuitive, it is also stable and very powerful for the majority of 2D CAD work. If you do not need industry standard .dwg (AutoCAD) compatibility then look no further. It is only a real shame that it is no longer being developed by AutoDesk, and version 9.0 will be the last version ever released. Still well worth buying though.

Fairly easy to pick up straightaway
it does exactly what it says it does' and more
excellent software can't fault it I've used QuickCAD by Autodesk for many years I upgraded to Autos sketch about a year ago. Autos sketch is exactly the same but better I've used Auto Sketch for many different drawings. Sheet-metal work. And metal fabrication. Layouts for factories. House plans .Extensions. And so on. when you get used to it it's brilliant I strongly recommend this software
