The Sigma EF-530 DG is designed to work with both Auto Focus 35mm film SLR and digital SLR cameras of all the popular manufacturers(Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony). The Sigma EF-530 DG is a multifunctional shoe mount type flash unit that provides a large amount of light, Sigma EF-530 DG having a guide number of 53/m (174/ft) w/ISO 100.
Among the most advanced features of Sigma EF-530 DG unit are, Autozoom function, which automatically sets the illumination angle in accordance with the focal length of the lens;
TTL exposure control in the Sigma EF-530 DG unit, which automatically regulates the amount of light. The bounce and swivel head functions in the Sigma EF-530 DG unit, which come in very handy for bounce photography;
FP system in the Sigma EF-530 DG, which is capable of synchronizing the flash illumination with high shutter speeds, and the rear curtain synchro flash mechanism, which makes delayed synchro photography possible.
A wireless slave function is also available with the Sigma EF-530 DG for use with compatible cameras (not included in the kit).

The New Sigma EF-530 DG unit is equipped with New TTL Auto Flash Exposure: Sigma EF-530 DG is designed to work with the latest TTL auto exposure systems of all popular manufacturers 35mm SLR and Digital SLR cameras.
Autozoom function in the Sigma EF-530 DG is for changing the illumination angle in accordance with the lens angle of view:
This function automatically sets the optimum illumination angle in accordance with the lens’ focal length in a range from 24mm to 105mm. When the built-in Wide Panel in the Sigma EF-530 DG is used, the flash can cover the angle of up to that of a 17mm lens.
Bounce-flash function in the Sigma EF-530 DG with movable flash head: The Sigma EF-530 DG flash head can be tilted up by upto 90 , to the left by 180 , or to the right by 90 . Bounce photography, in which light is reflected off a white wall or the ceiling or a reflector, increases your range of photographic expression. As the EF-530 DG Super flash head can also be tilted down by 7 , light can also be used for close-up shots.
Sigma EF-530 DG equipped with Auto Power-Off function which prevents wasted power: Even if the Sigma EF-530 DG flash is left with the power on, it automatically shuts off, if it is not operated for a certain length of time. This conserves battery power in flash photography. When the shutter button is depressed slightly, the power turns on again, and charging resumes in the Sigma EF-530 DG flash unit.
Auto Focus auxiliary light is very convenient for photography in a dark place: AF may not work appropriately in a dark place. However, the AF auxiliary light mechanism of Sigma EF-530 DG lets you control AF even in situations where autofocusing is difficult.
