I was in need of a close-up flash unit that found the Sigma EM-140 DG flash unit to be very fast and accurate, while being lite. It also fills the gap Nikon left in the macro flash unit like SB-29, by not releasing an i-TTL unit for their new digital SLRs. The EM-140 is very accurate light control in macro shots. You also have the option to use both lamps, or either one separately (left or right) for shadow control. I am using EM-140 DG flash unit with my Nikon D80 and it gives me the perfect result I want, it is totally i-TTL with my D80, the only missing bit in EM-140 kit is the ring adapter, it comes only with 55mm and 58mm ring adapters, the Nikon lens users should purchase an extra ring adapter for Nikon lenses like Nikon 60mm, 105mm macro. I am using the Nikon 60mm lens which I bought 62mm ring adapter along with my Sigma EM-140 DG flash unit. |
