Zen player-bad news July 13, 2008 If you want a poorly constructed and delicate player which takes ages to navigate through the menus and has a short battery life this is the player for you!!! Trust me buy a more expensive mp3 player as although this is cheap, its cheap for a reason as it is the most annoying piece of junk i have ever owned and has now stopped working for me completely now(which is a blessing as it gave me the incentive to buy something decent ha ha)
Useless little gadget July 9, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
If I could give this less than one star, I would. I found a 2gb Zen Stone Plus MP3 player, in perfect condition, in the street in Barnet, NW London, the other evening. I couldn't believe my luck! I rushed home and charged it for three hours through a USB cable. Although my computer recognised the connection (so I have a 2gb storage device, I suppose), its battery doesn't hold a charge and it only works when connected to a USB mains charger. It is entirely useless as a mobile media player. I won't give it to a charity shop or sell it on, because no one else deserves this headache. Now I realise why its owner had dropped it in the road. They were hoping that a car would come along and crush it.
You get wjat you pay for. July 5, 2008 It's cheap but it's very nasty.
Biggest gripes are: -the controls which work to a will of their own. Even turning it on is trial. -battery life is about 4 hours tops -switching between tracks. Well you just give up after a while. -transfer doesn't always work. It will mess up one 'cd' in about 4 to make it unlistenable.
Basically save up and buy an Ipod.
doesn't like woolworths downloaded music July 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would have originally have given this a four star. The only real problems that I had with it up till now were the battery life which I fixed with an upgrade and the player getting jammed and having to be formatted, that hasn't been a problem since.
I now have an extremley irritating problem that it doesn't support subscription content (??? me either), anyway it means that you can't import files from places like woolworths which uses subscription content. I'm useless with stuff like this, it was bought as a gift and so had I known I would have told my parents to get me another make as I now have a lot of tracks that are limited to my computer only...other than that it's a good player if you only want to use it on a short journey or day to day. Also, be aware that the only way to charge it is through a computer, not good for long distance traveling, you need to buy a battery seperatley...hope this helps
Not as good as it looks July 3, 2008 When I first saw this player I thought it was amazing value for money, at half the price of a iPod with more useful features (a radio, recording device etc). However, the battery life was very poor, rarely lasting more than 4 hours and after 2 months it ceased to work completely, not responding to charging or resetting. It started working after a couple of weeks or doing nothing, but a month later it ceased working again, only to come back to life a couple of days later. This is very unrealiable! I am currently waiting for creative to get back to me about this. I think I'll go back to iPods.
