I tried using the fine dice blades on green peppers, onions, fresh coriander and tomatoes. Result? The onions were ok but I had to use so much pressure to chop the peppers that the plastic bowl cracked (it's advertised as "almost indestructable")! The bowl was slack and kept working loose even before the incident with the peppers.
Tomatoes were the greatest disappointment. Really hard to chop and the juice went everywhere. The fresh coriander ended up as a soggy lump. So my perfect salsa tasted great - but looked like a dog's dinner.
Don't waste your money on one of these.

I am really surprised by the many negative comments regarding the Nicer Dicer Product. I was so impressed when I purchased my JML Nicer Dicer from Woolworths that I have now bought one for all my friends and family who love it too. It makes the most wonderful professional looking salads and works ferfectly time after time. All I did was follow the instruction - Use small pieces - skin side down always for onions and peppers etc - use quality firm tomatoes and quarter them first for brilliant salsa and keep rinsing the blades to keep them wet! Its so easy to wash, just removing the round disk through the grid removes most if not all pieces and the rest simply rinses away! My only advice would be to make sure when you buy the Nicer Dicer that it says JML on the box, if it doesn't it may be a cheap import from china and not the high quality European model, which may be why so many people are having problems and others love its simplicity, quality and Brilliant results! So don't go cheap and get what you expect - fantastic, consistent results every time! I for one think its the best kitchen tool out there for making dicing everything as easy as ABC!

Had one bought for me by daughter & sent to NZ! It is a rip off from the original & fell apart on first use!Blades made from cheap tin,plastic body cheap & so called unbreakable containers broken when unpacked(packaging for posting was well done by daughter)
So disappointing, as it was a present from my daughter & I had asked for this item having used one here.
Have since bought the real deal & the comparison is totally telling..do be careful about cheap copies.

order came in very fast. happy to recieve it and open it.
as i started using it, it was upsetting.....
its not so easy as it is shown on tv.
its bit work......
and sad thing is..., the big blades dint do any good.....
they ccame of very easily and it was all over the place.
it got bebd and loose its grip to the frame.
it was very difficult to put the cup on hold...
i had to cut vegetable again by knife...!!!!
wish i coul replace the product and the get the refund...!!!

i got it a present and it couldnt even cut up a tomato it all squished up and also the blade broke just like the other peoples on this product review trusat me just get a food prosessor instead .yes, its abit expensive but its not another useless vegetable chopper lying on the shelf
