1 out of 5 stars Help, where is the Power Booster on/off switch?!?   July 24, 2008
I'd appreciate some help with this product. Maybe I'm completely stupid however, the instruction manual clearly states that for jump-starting a car you need to set the power booster switch to 'on' rather than 'off' which is suitable for items that need less battery power. Just one problem, where on earth is this on/off switch because I can't find it?! In my instruction booklet it states 'Power Booster On/Off switch number 12 on figure 1' - But there is no number 12 on the illustration as it only goes up to number 11?! Can someone please explain?

5 out of 5 stars Well worth it   April 21, 2008

I have a vintage VW camper and the battery suffers from a lack of use at times. This worked very well. The jump start leads are rather short so you may need to use your old set if it is not easy to get to the vehicle battery -but don't use both as the voltage drop may be too much for it. A good price and well worth it.

The jump start works will. It actually started my 2.5L diesel van engine! Its not meant to do this, but did it fine. The pump for tyres is poor, and doesnt get used.

I recently purchased the Blackspur engine start and after charging up the unit first, my hubby wired it up to the car and it started first time.We have had to use it several times since and the car has started every time. It's brill! It's so good I'm going to get one for my daughter who often breaks down and rings for our assistance to rescue her at the most awkward of times! Well done Blackspur!
