5 out of 5 stars Summerslam 2002 Review   April 4, 2004

Greatest Summerslam of all time
And greatest opening match to a ppv of all time
Kurt Angle Vs. Rey Mysterio
A Fantastic Match Contrasting styles Rey's Quickness and speed and angles agility and mat based style Great Fast Paced match up
10/10

Ric Flair Vs. chris jericho
A Match i was greatly looking Forward to the figur four Vs. The walls of jerichoThe WWE had the right idea bringing the submissions into play great technical match I almost choked saying wooooooo! so much with all those chops
8/10

Edge Vs. Eddie Guerrero
Another great technical match most of the match was eddie working on edges injured shoulder but got really godd near the end
8/10

WWF Tag Team titles
Booker T & Goldust Vs. The Un-Americans (Lance Storm & Christian)
Alot of People have given a bad review about this match but i found it very entertaining certainly better than most tag team matches you see these days nice interferance from test
7/10

WWF Intercontinental Championship
Chris Benoit Vs. RVD
Around the time of Summerslam I had been hoping for this match then i got it and it was great alot of great moves and yet another great technical match
(RVD Looks funny when his hair is not in a pony tail)
8/10

Test vs. the Undertaker
This May Not sound That Great I think test was only Just Thrown in because There was no one else left to face the undertaker and to everyones surprise i was yet another great match the undertaker manages to hold of the other to mebers of the un-americans and test at the same time test proved he that he has the potential to be a big star
9/10

Non-Sanctioned
HHH vs. Shawn Michaels
Yes You guessed it the best match of the night and one of my all time favourite matches the return of HBK and who would have thought that after 4 years away from the ring that he could put on a performance like that amzing stuff they use every weapon imaganabletables Ladders chairs no point intended fire extuinguishers trash cans and even HHH's Sledge Hammer Comes Into Play But That Wasnt Till The End Of the Match Ouch
(Who woulve thought that almost 2 years later this summer that shan would still be wrestling and put on a performance like he did at wrestlemania XX and a performance that he is gonna put on at backlash im rambling now so im gonna stop)
100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10

WWE Undisputed Championship
The Rock Vs. Brock Lesnar
what Would Any great show be without a great main event watch as paul heyman gets Rock Bottomed through the announce table hilarious stuff but the match really gets going when lesnar(sell- Out) (b)rock Bottoms the rock
10/10

and i would just like to say something i know its against the amazon review rules but i would just like to say something about brock lesnar Brock was being set to become one of the greatest of all time in the wwe in order to get started doing that while he was still young 25 to be exact he had to have an early push and to do that guys like the undertaker and hulk hogan had to job to lesnar making them look like worse athletes then lesnar just leaves and joins the NFl and this PPV is a perfect example of people jobbing to lesnar so i say if lesnar comes back from the NFL it sjust going to make him look like a worse athlete crawling back just like it made the undertaker The rock and hogan look like worse athlete so i say it will serve him right

5 out of 5 stars The Best Summerslam Ever   July 15, 2003

Shawn Micheals return was amazing,Triple H was as brilliant as ever. This was the match of the year by far,it was an absolute awesome match between these two former best freinds. The championship match was not as good but still very good to say the least. All in all this was probably one of the greatest ppv's in wwe history.

Undoubtedly, this has to be the greatest event of 2002. Every match was watchable and most were excellent. The opener was one of the best in years with Rey Mysterio's debut against Kurt Angle. It was so much fun and has to be considered a classic. Edge/Guerrero is ok(Unforgiven Match was better). Jericho/Flair was also watchable. the only disappointing match was between Test and the Undertaker. Dont get me wrong it is still quite good but i expected better. However for pure wrestling, the IC title match was excellent. RVD and Benoit worked extremly hard and made people care about the belt. The best match by far(and of the year) was the No Holds Barred match between HHH and HBK on his return. it was violent and bloody and gave new meaning to the word classic. It was by far the match of the year and it was a great privlege to watch it. The main event between Brock and Rock was good also considering what it had to follow. You feel sorry for the Rock as he gets booed quite a bit in the match but still a great match. Every WWE fan should buy this if they dont already have it. It was Great

A gr8 ppv with the only disapointments bing the tag title match(6/10) and the y2j flair match(6/10). The rey mysterio angle match was gr8.9/10. Benoit vs rvd was gr8 , thrilling from start 2 finish.8/10. Eddie vs edge was good not gr8 but betta than i expected. 7/10. Undertaker vs test is a gr8 match alot better than i expected aswell. 8/10. The 2 highlights toh wer the main event brock vs rock which has a fantastci finish in which u cannot tell woh is goin 2 get the pin 9/10. HBK vs HHH is gr8 from start 2 finish with maybe a poor ending. There is gr8 use of th ladder and tables aswell 10/10. This match makes the ppv.
